  • Gabriel de Broglie Born in 1931, Chancelier de l'Institut, Honorary Conseiller d'État. His works include a biography of Guizot published in 1990.
  • Jean-Claude Casanova, Chairman of the Jury Born in 1934, Member of the Institut (Académie des Sciences morales et politiques), Director of the Revue Comment, Chairman of the Fondation nationale des sciences politiques.
  • Bernard Guenée Born in 1927, Member of the Institut (Académie des Inscriptions et Belles Lettres), Professor Emeritus at the University of Paris I, Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études. Works on the late Middle Ages.
  • Patrice Gueniffey Born in 1955, Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Director of the Centre Raymond Aron, author of numerous publications including Number and reason. The French Revolution and elections, recently The Eighteenth Brumaire, (Gallimard) in 2008.
  • Alain Lancelot Born in 1937, former Member of the Conseil constitutionnel, former Director of the Institut des Sciences politiques (1987-1996).
  • Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie Born in 1929, Member of the Institut (Académie des Sciences morales et politiques), Honorary Professor at the Collège de France, General Administrator of the Bibliothèque nationale (1987-1994). Author of numerous works.
  • Georges de Ménil Descendant of François Guizot, Professor of Economics at Princeton University (1970-1974), Director of Studies at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales. Dual French and American national. Author of Common Sense. To unblock French society (2007).
  • Mona Ozouf Director of research at the CNRS, Mona Ozouf has written numerous books, including Les Aveux du roman. The 19th century between the Ancien Régime and the Revolution, for which she was awarded the Prix Guizot in 2002. She has published several works in collaboration with her husband, Jacques Ozouf, and later with François Furet. She writes for Nouvel Observateur and The Debate.
  • Philippe Raynaud Born in 1952, Agrégé de philosophie et de sciences politiques, Professor of Political Philosophy at the University of Paris II, Member of the Institut Universitaire de France, co-author and director of the Dictionary of political philosophy, author of Max Weber and the dilemmas of modern reason (P.U.F. 1996).
  • Laurent Theis Born in 1948, Agrégé d'histoire, Secretary of Debates at the Assemblée Nationale (1983-2004), Honorary Chairman of the Society for the History of French Protestantism, a member of the cultural department at Point, a literary consultant at Perrin, and author of several works on the Middle Ages, including Clovis (1996) and Robert the Pious (Perrin 1999). In 2008 he published a biography of Guizot (Fayard).
  • Gudrun Gersman German historian, born in 1960, Director of the German Historical Institute in Paris, Professor of Modern History (Universities of Aachen and Cologne) and Director of the Aachen University Archives. She is a specialist in French history from the eighteenth century to the present day.è and the XIXè centuries.
  • Sudhir Hazareesingh English historian, born in 1961, professor of political science at Oxford University (Balliol College), specialist in France, has written several works on the history of France in the 19th century, including The legend of Napoleon which was awarded the Prix d'Histoire by the Fondation Napoléon in 2006 and Saint-Napoléon (Tallandier) in 2008.
