A former student at the École normale supérieure, agrégé and doctor in history, Laurent Theis is a historian, editor and critic. He has published a new edition of François Guizot's Histoire de la Révolution d'Angleterre (Paris, 1997), and contributed to the edition of Lettres à sa fille Henriette (Paris, 2002). In addition to numerous articles and notes, he has written a biography of François Guizot (Paris, 2008). President and then Honorary President of the Society for the History of French Protestantism, He is a member of the jury for the Prix François Guizot-Institut de France.
